Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Farquharson as well as Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox lived on an allowance for students and went off on a part-time job to supplement her income. Lennox decided to change her path in life after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience and lack of talent comparison with other Royal Academy students. Lennox was initially an instrument player with the group Dragons Playground. The band did not appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980, she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop group. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her solo debut album Diva. This came out in 1992. The album received a lot of praise from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. In addition in May 2019 Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I'm Letting You Go... is the soundtrack to her exhibit of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25, 1954. After a brief successes as a part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the duo known as Eurythmics in the 1980s. Lennox began her solo career with her first album Diva in 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as Why andWalking through the Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It features cover versions of some songs, including"No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo catalog includes six studio albums and one compilation album.
